Slow Down
Just a reminder that as summer gets closer, there are a lot of kids playing outside in our neighborhood. Keep an eye out, and don't be afraid to remind your friends to slow down.

I really appreciate your efforts in putting this site together but I am a little concerned on the elimination of post that may not be acceptable to you. Is this site for all of us to keep in touch or for the site administrator to pass on what they deem necessary.
Well, here is the situation. This site IS for us to keep in touch. It is NOT for personal attacks on each other. I had several people come to me and ask that a particular post be taken down. After reading it I agreed. This is my first time doing something like this, and I really did not think I would have to do that. The overall goal of this site is to make our little community a better place. What was happening with that particular post was the exact opposite, and I could see it going downhill quickly! Since I am the one who set up this site, I may have some legal responsibility to its content. I hope I don't, but it is better for me to err on the side of caution.
I hope that makes some sense, and I do understand where you are coming from. If we have to disagree, we can do so in an agreeable manner.
I live next door to the dog in question. I own a pet sitting business and I can tell you that this dog is not a threat to anyone. She is a sweet dog and is afraid of thunderstorms. If anyone sees that she is running around outside of her yard, please call the owners, and they will get in touch with someone who can put her back in her yard.
I also live close to the dog in question, and I can tell you from my experience that she is most definitely a threat. I have owned large dogs before, and this dog is dangerous. I was nearly bitten by this dog, and had I not known how to handle the situation it would have gone very bad. What I gather, is that most of the time she acts really friendly. Then, something clicks in her brain, and she become viscous. Those are the most dangerous kinds of dogs.
With that being said, I still respect the owners. They are good people, and I won't let the dog issue interfere with our friendship as neighbors. But I do disagree with their decision to keep this dog.
Thank you to those of you that have had such kind words to say about my family and our dog; we truly appreciate you.
